Astrodon filters are hard-coated and come with a 5-year limited warranty against degradation of the optical coatings from moisture attack (clouding), delaminating, or development of other manufacturing defects. We will replace the filter at no charge as long as the owner provides the manufacturing lot number located on the side of the filter or on the provided spectral graph (3 nm filters only). Without a lot number, the customer will be asked to pay 25% of the list price for a replacement.
Astrodon Imaging warrants that its products will meet the specifications and operation described on this web site.
We will replace at no charge any product with a manufacturing defect for 45 days after purchase.
A defect can be an obvious scratch in a filter or a pinhole larger than 0.2 mm that would show up in a flat.
We will not replace a filter with damage from misuse and reserve the right to return the filter to the customer.
We will pay the shipping and insurance costs back to the customer, but expect the customer pay the shipping and insurance to Astrodon.
Astrodon will accept returns of unused products within the first 30 days for a 10% restocking fee, provided that they pass inspection showing no use.
Astrodon cannot warrant any clouding of UV, B and V Astrodon-Schuler photometric filters that contain BG-39 glass since that is an intrinsic property of that glass, according to Schott.
Please contact Astrodon prior to shipping any product for replacement or refund.
Astrodon will refuse to accept any product without prior approval.
We promise to work with you to resolve any problem fairly.
