Ucare Foundation

It is with great pleasure I acknowledge the third year of operation of the Foundation Hospital Rajana and start of Foundation Hospital Chichawatni.

Each time I returned to visit Toba Tek Singh, I witnessed the need for a comprehensive medical facility   which would meet the diverse medical needs of the region. From this developed a vision and a long term personal aim to build a hospital in Rajana which would serve those who were unable to access proper health care thus improving the quality of life for all. The completed hospital is a modern, state of the art facility matching those found in the UK, which offers dedicated and skilled health care to all. Since opening its doors last autumn the numbers of users has increased steadily, maternity care is utilized to the benefit of both mother and child and skilled surgical staff offer a standard of care which could not be accessed previously.

 We are not resting on our laurels and are looking at ways to constantly improving the hospital to ensure it offers the best services, trained staff, creative and caring managers to deliver the service.

 Since the original planning stage, to the massive fundraising efforts to finally seeing patients walk through the hospital doors many individual have supported the project and have contributed to the successful project we see today. I would like to congratulate MS Professor Dr Altaf Hussain Rathore (FHR) and MS Dr Bilal Asghar (FHC), whose professionalism developed and supervised our successful medical team, Board of Management Members, Mian Kamal-ud-Din, Ch. Muhammad Sharif, Mian Muhammad Rafique and Syed Sajjad Haider Shah with particular appreciation to Dr. Abrar Ahmed who has remained dedicated to the fruition of the project from the out set, Mahmood Hassan, Director of PFI UK for his guidance and support, UK Committee Members and finally to the donors with out whom the hospital would have only remained an idea.
